Sarah + Jared. Part II. 128 south wedding ceremony and reception in historic wilmington nc.

Sarah is one of those people that just makes you feel good.  She booked my services over the phone, so I didn’t meet her until her wedding day, but I still felt like she was an old friend. When I saw the way she and Jared looked at each other during the ceremony, I teared up and remembered why I love being a wedding photographer.  This job can be very stressful, and it’s  A LOT of work. I have honestly thought about giving it up many times in the past so my weekends would open up to my family.  I was standing at the front of the isle waiting for Sarah to walk out, and the guitarist started playing the most beautiful music, the wind blew a gentle breeze across the river view deck, and then out came this beautiful bride trying really hard to not cry;)  At that moment, I knew I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to wedding photography.  I am such a sucker for a good love story!!

This was my first wedding back after having my sweet Ella, and she was only 5wks old at the time.  It was so bittersweet because I didn’t want to leave her, but at the same time I was itching to get my camera in my hands.  Sarah and Jared’s love for life and each other filled me with so much inspiration, I enjoyed every moment of their wedding day.  I am so happy with the way their photos turned out, and even edited them in record time.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!!! I hope these photos help you relive your wonderful and very special wedding day!!!  – susie

As always, huge thanks to Trinity for being the best 2nd shooter EVER:)

The sexy stuff. wilmington boudoir photographers

I recently had someone tell me it was really hard to find our boudoir site! That is not what I want to hear, so I just wanted to add this little post in to send you all over there in case you have been looking for it and couldn’t find it.  We do our best to update our blog as often as we are given permission.  If we are missing from this blog for a while, chances are we have been very busy with the boudoir side of our business. We try to keep them separate, but want to make sure you know we are still around:) We spend november – february very busy with 2-3 boudoir shoots a week.  Engagement season has started, so in the next couple months you’ll start to see more portraits and weddings around here.  In the meantime, check out our boudoir blog for some fun eye candy and inspiration if you have been thinking about doing a session yourself!!

Renee and Casey are Engaged

Renee and Casey are a perfect match. They met by chance on a cruise, when Renee was on a girls trip and Casey was on a guys trip. At the time, Renee lived on the East Coast and Casey lived all the way on the West Coast. After doing long distance, they finally met on the East coast and made Wilmington their home this last September. We are so happy they did. We had a great time in downtown Wilmington on St. Patty’s weekend. They sure did get the attention of the crowd downtown. Looking this good, how couldn’t? We are looking forward to their wedding at The Balcony on Dock in 2014!!!:)

Rachel and Justin Engagement Session

Trinity here. While Susie is awaiting her baby girl, I have had the pleasure of shooting some fun sessions.:). For one, I had such an awesome time on Rachel and Justin’s engagement session. We were blessed with beautiful weather, and it made me so happy that spring is finally here! This couple is so in love and full of fun. Justin and Rachel love Carolina Beach, and Justin proposed at Fort Fisher (in the most romantic way ever!), so it was only fitting that their session take place at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Fort Fisher. Not only did they have bikes, but also champagne! What could be better? Looking forward to their wedding later this year!
