Nikki booked me for her wedding over a year ago and I was so excited when her and Chris’s big day finally came!  You might remember them from their very fun engagement session at the aquarium in fort fisher nc.  You can check that out here.

I knew Nikki was going to be gorgeous on her wedding day, but I didn’t know exactly how gorgeous! Her hair, makeup and dress could not have been more perfect for you!  The thing I love best about Nikki is her gorgeous smile and the way she lights up when she and Chris are together. Chris is so relaxed and such a gentlemen.  When I am with these two I am so comfortable, it’s like hanging with friends!!

I was so happy for them when just a couple hours before their ceremony the clouds passed and they had clear blue skies.  They absolutely deserved this amazing day.

I am so happy for this couple, and I loved all the emotion throughout the day:)Enjoy some of my favorites.

Jenn and Paul were so much fun to work with on their engagement session! Jenn did an amazing job of coordinating their outfits ( LOVE Jenn’s dress ), and I love the simple and cute props! Jenn and Paul are getting married at the Brooklyn Arts Center this coming September, and not only that but it will be designed and coordinated by Brittany of Orchid Island Weddings!  I can’t wait, and this session is just an idea of how gorgeous the wedding will be:)

I tried to narrow this down, but I loved too many:)

Carolina Beach boardwalk and beach photos. Ms. Betsy

My first session with Betsy was with her family on Bald Head Island last summer. This is my third session with her, and hopefully only the beginning:) We wanted something fun this time so her mom could use these for her 2nd birthday party invitations.  We had a bit of overcast skies, but thanks to the bright and fun colors of the carolina beach boardwalk, we had plenty of colorful backdrops to choose from.

Jess and Bobby will be getting married in just a few weeks at The Terreces on Sir Tyler!  I am looking forward to this being my first wedding at one of the newest venues in Wilmington NC!  You might recognize this couple from their Save the Date session a few months back.  Probably one of the cutest Save the date sessions I’ve done yet:)

We had fun with round two making use of their fun props; wine, flowers and a blanket to snuggle on.  They are such a cute couple, and super photogenic if you ask me:)

Looking forward to the wedding in June!!! Can’t wait!!!

Lastly, I have to give a huge shout out to my intern, Katherine.  She has been with me for only about 2 months and I am so proud of how far she has come as a photographer in that small amount of time.  She has been on many shoots with me, and the difference between her images from the first shoot to the present is so drastic, it’s hard to believe it’s only been a matter of weeks.  You know someone is talented when they can take what you teach them and turn around and use it immeditately, and that is exactly what this girl has done!   I couldn’t share this post without showing a few she captured.  Great job, Katherine!!

This family is very special to me.  John Moon, or Moon, as I have always know him, went to college with my husband and stood by his side at our wedding.  His ridiculously gorgeous wife feels like an old friend of mine even though we never actually met until this shoot.  There is a lot to be said for making connections through facebook:) As soon as I saw LaVonne, I felt like we had known each other our entire lives.

As soon as I walked into the house I could feel that “new baby buz.”  It instantly brought back all those feelings I had the day and weeks following Jack’s ( my son) birth.  It’s amazing that was 19 months ago!!

Baby Gabriella was such a precious little angel the entire time.  She is definitely one of the most beautiful newborns I have ever seen.  I don’t photograph a lot of newborns, not because I don’t love it, it’s just not my specialty:) I actually love that I don’t do it very often, because it makes it so much more special when I do.  I could go on longer about how enjoyable the shoot was, how much I love this family, and even how much fun I had editing…
