Stumble Upon….

I was just recently introduced to Stumble Upon, and I am hooked! Instead of wasting our time discussing it, I suggest you check it out for yourself and get the toolbar while your at it!

So, I occasionally take a break from editing to stumble upon something interesting. I completely agree with these “rules” and yet I am constantly forgetting them. Here is a little reminder to us all….

Here’s your “QuoteAction” of the day:

“We look too much to museums. The sun coming up in the morning
is enough.”
Painter, Romare Bearden

Your action for today is: to enjoy and appreciate something
small that you tend to take for granted.

Have an extraordinary day!

….even better Make this your quote action of the weekend:)

Suzanna + Lance. Teasers. Part III

Suzanna and Lance have been soooo patient, that I feel I need to put a few more images up to hold them over. After editing, once again I found my favorites.

Thanks for being so patient, you two! The rest are uploading and will be ready soon!
Also, I know these images are “bride heavy”, but I just couldn’t help myself…she is so good in front of the camera:)

Favorite image of the day…

Most of you don’t know that I actually went to school for commercial photography! We would work in the studio day in and day out photographing “things.” I had a really hard time with this and I realized it is because there is a key ingredient missing when you are photographing “things” in a studio; EMOTION! I can photograph landscapes because there is emotion in the earth. The trees, grass, flowers, and the passing bird are pure inspiration! Once in a while I get asked to photograph a product and I usually turn it down. This time, I was happy to volunteer. Do you remember a while back I posted about Skoy? I ran into a friend of mine at the earth day festival, took a few pics and did a little post about this amazing product. Well Karen, one of the founders, needed some more photos and I was happy to oblige:)You will notice the “Susie Spin” on these however:)I had a little fun incorporating the other things in my house in order to give it a little excitement..or emotion, if you will:)

Here are a few of these photos. Please check out the website and purchase some of these bad boys. They are 100% biodegradable and completely replace paper towels!!!

Tomorrow I am doing another commercial shoot for Ceremony Magazine. The product I am photographing was provided by local vendors, so I can pull some emotion from that:)You’ll have to stay tuned for the new issue of Ceremony 2009 to view those photos:)

Home Sweet Home…

Ahhh. Is there a better feeling than returning home from a trip? It doesn’t matter if it is one day, one week or one month… Dorothy was right, there really is NO PLACE LIKE HOME. Jeremy and I returned home from Vegas a few hours ago. After a six hr car ride, a shower and a good stretch never felt so good! Although I was ecstatic to finally be home, I have to say that road trips with my husband are anything but boring. There is always one incident out of every vacation that Jeremy and I recall and laugh about forever. We really have more inside jokes than anyone I know! This one would have to be when I was moaning over the deliciousness of kettle cooked potato chips and Jeremy started serenading me. We were listening to Wonderland by John Mayer when he romantically changed the words in dedication of my love for potato chips. I wish so badly I could remember the words, but it was one of those times you are laughing so hard you can’t breath let alone make note of what is being said. I would have to say my husband is the funniest person I know and I get to laugh with him everyday! I am so blessed. So blessed.
