Wendy and John got married in the cute little town of Southport NC, with a ceremony at a little chapel and the reception following at the Southport Community Building. This wedding was the most beautiful DIY wedding I have shot to date!! I am still blown away that Wendy planned, designed and made all of these details herself!!! Everything was gorgeous!!
We had a few sprinkles that day, but in my honest opinion the rain only added to the sweetness of the day. I love the clear umbrellas, and the soft light

I am so looking forward to their fall wedding in Topsail Beach, this coming October!
Our first attempt for photos was rained out, but we were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous makeup day! We strolled through fort fisher, and braved the bugs.. and IT WAS WORTH IT! I am in love with this session. It really shows the sweetness in this relationship.

Trinity and I had the honor of photographing Lacey and Matt’s beautiful wedding at The Country Club of Landfall. This was my first wedding there, and it couldn’t have been with a more fun, relaxed and gorgeous in love couple!! We are so lucky to get to work with these two! Lacey and Matt chose to do a “first look” where they saw each other before the wedding. We did this at the temple gardens with portraits to follow. The ceremony followed with a beautiful and simple design by Design Perfections and rentals from Pomp. By the looks of their faces you can tell that these two are madly in love! The rest of the evening was filled with lots of dancing and a lot of laughs.
It was really hard to narrow this down, but here are some of our favorites from the day.

I knew as soon as I took this photo that it would be the first I postI will be posting many many many more teasers from this beautiful southern wedding in the next couples weeks, but I just loved this one too much not to post right away
The bride and groom were willing to leave the reception at night in order for me to take this beautiful silhouette. I think it is such a romantic photo. I especially love how their faces are so close but not quite kissing! I would love to hear what you think in the comments below. Our photos are usually bright and colorful. What do you think of this more dramatic lighting?
