Birgit Witherspoon, M.S.D.S., HHC, earned a master’s degree in domestic science/health in her native Germany in 1998 as a part of her life-long passion for learning and healthy living. There she learned how to prepare nutritious meals that nourish your body and mind. She also was instructed in the concepts of balancing all aspects of life to ensure optimal health and happiness.

In 2006, Birgit completed a Somatic Intuitive Training Practitioner Program and is certified to practice SIT, a powerful stress reduction method.

In 2007, Birgit graduated with honors from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and holds certifications as a Holistic Health Counselor and Nutrition Consultant from the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and Teachers College of Columbia University. She is trained in all the dietary theories and qualified to advise people on improving their health through diet and lifestyle modifications including many programs for personal growth and self-development.

Birgit understands how vital proper nutrition and stress management influence the health and well-being of individuals and recognizes that each person has different needs. She creates a unique plan for each client, based on up-to-date scientific data and practical skills to help them achieve peak performance physically, mentally and emotionally. The proof is in the results: she recently won a gold medal at the World Taekwondo Championships and passed her test for Black Belt after having practiced the art for only three years. After all, we are what we eat.

From my first meeting with Lindy and Chad I wanted so badly to have the opportunity to work with them. As Jeremy would say “they are good people.” The kind of people that make you want to be a better person, appreciate what you have in your life, your love and the world as a whole. This is a union of two people that will impact our world and make a difference. No, I didn’t “get” all of this from our first meeting, but I did leave the meeting saying “Chad has a scruffy beard, and Lindy is going to be a beautiful and relaxed bride…..I WANT THIS WEDDING!With much luck, I got it…and here we are today. There wedding took place at one of my favorite places, Torrey Pines State Reserves. Lindy and Chad have a love for our earth and they chose the perfect place to embrace their love. It was a cool, breezy day and the ceremony was filled with much love and emotion… even Amy shed a tear during the ceremony. I am very thankful I had the opportunity to witness this wedding and document their love for each other.

Tiffany and Toan are probably one of the most beautiful couples I have ever had the privilege of working with. I have never felt more welcomed or appreciated by a couple’s family, more than I did we these two. I had been looking forward to this wedding since I first met with Tiffany and Toan. They had a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony, and it was the first time I had experienced this, let alone had the opportunity to document it. The best part is that I booked their wedding when Jeremy was studying in China. I just knew it was meant to beDuring their engagement session I found out I was completely spoiled because not only are they kind and beautiful, but they are super fabulous in front of the camera.

I just finished uploading their images, and I haven’t even started the official editing process. I wanted to at least get a few teasers up for them, before the weekend. It was REALLY hard to not blog about 50 photos, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise. So, here are a few that I just had to share
