“I am a very self-conscious person and I know most other women are also self-conscious of their bodies. I decided to do this shoot for my husband who is extremely supportive of me and always gives me compliments, that I sometimes feel are not warranted. But I wanted to give him something special that he would enjoy while I was overseas in Afghanistan. I also hoped that the experience would help me loosen up a little. The whole experience from hair and make-up to the actual shoot did more than loosen me up. It made me feel amazing. As soon as I sat down for hair and make-up, they made me feel super comfortable. There wasn’t any akwardness and I felt like I could be myself. When it came to the photo shoot Susie was absolutely amazing! From all her compliments to her guiding me through poses, I felt at ease and beautiful. She made me feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. When my husband and I went to view the photos, I couldn’t believe the pictures I saw. They were phenominal! I couldn’t believe I could look that good half dressed!! It was very hard to choose 30 photos out of the 100 something she took. I wanted to take them all home!!! My husband absolutely adores them as well. After we received the photos, I felt much more comfortable with my body and actually went to buy more lingerie with my husband, which he is super excited about. He was just so happy that I finally saw myself as beautifully as he did, and I have Susie to thank for that. I have now found myself looking at Victoria’s Secret models and saying to myself, “Psshhh, I can do that!” Hahaha! I absolutely loved the experience and would recommend it to anyone no matter what the occasion! I am even very excited just to have the pictures for myself so when I’m old, gray, and wrinkly I can look back and say, “Yes I was HOT!” But make sure to hide them from the Grandkids! :) I would tell anyone to work with Susie, and even though I am moving across country, I have already decided I will be making a trip back to NC when I’m pregnant so that I can do another shoot with her. Yes I would fly across the country to work with Susie! She was amazing! Thank you so much for the awesome experience!!”

Hey Susie!

I finally gave the photos to my husband over the weekend and he LOVED them! When he opened the box with the album he almost looked confused and when he saw what was inside the album, he was speechless. He just grinned from ear to ear slowly admiring every page. I think his first words were “perfect, just perfect.” :)

I can’t thank you enough for all your hard work. You were so kind and professional and gave such great direction. You made everything so comfortable and easy! I am so glad I chose to do this for my husband and I am thrilled I chose YOU!!!!

I got my album and CD in the mail as scheduled (thanks again for sending them!) and gave them to my fiance last night for Valentine’s Day. He was absolutely blown away!! He couldn’t even say anything until he’d looked through the album twice…with his jaw hanging open the whole time :-) It was SUCH a success, and he love love LOVED it!! Turned out even better than I’d hoped. Thank you so much again for this whole experience. It was more fun than I could have imagined, and you made it so easy to relax and be comfortable in my own skin. You’ve definitely made a convert out of me, and I can’t wait to do it again sometime! :-)

Trinity, my associate, photographed my 33 week pregnant belly!  I absolutely love these photos, and I thought it was only fair to share them, since I am always telling women to do this!  I believe even more how important maternity boudoir is.  I have felt really great during this pregnancy, but overall, I have felt a little bigger than preferred, and a little less beautiful than I see other pregnant women.  Seeing these photos makes me see how beautiful this big round belly is and just this time in my life as a whole.  I am so happy I will have these forever to remember this special time.  I will get to pass these along to my daughter, and how sweet that will be when she is having children of her own :)   I posted a few of my favorites below, but you can see all of them on our facebook page here.

I love that I had the chance to work with her for a full 90 mins session!! Of course she got the full experience with hair and makeup styling by Jamie Warzel and she looked and felt amazing after the shoot.  I know I’ve said it before, but I LOVE working with mom’s! It is so rare we get to take time out for ourselves, especially for pampering!!!  Ms. B did this as a gift for herself and no one else! I love that she didn’t wait until she had a reason, or a person to do this for.
