Kabrel and Cody’s 128 South Wedding in Downtown Wilmington is by far one of my favorite weddings Katherine has photographed. This couple is so full of love and happiness, and Katherine captured it perfectly. The beautiful bride and her bridesmaids got ready at the adorable Cottage on Orange Street, one of the available options for 128 South and Bakery 105 Brides! It is a super cute, and super convenient place to get ready! Once the couple was ready, Katherine met with them in a private little spot downtown for their first look, and then a few portraits before tying the knot. A first look is a great way to get some of the portraits finished before the ceremony, so you can relax a little more, and also get to enjoy cocktail hour.
I absolutely loved editing this wedding. Every photo of the bride and groom showed their excitement and you could tell this wedding was a day for THEM, and they were happy to have their friends and family their to share it.
It was nearly impossible to narrow down the photos, so there are quite a few. It was important for me to show how we document all aspects of the day, and how we like to do it in a classic and timeless way, but also create images of Art at the same time. I love how Katherine captured the light and energy of the day. Enjoy the photos, and I hope they inspire you to make your wedding day about you, and also remind you to enjoy it, and not sweat the small stuff!
