When you are expecting your 2nd baby, and you know you are having a girl, it is only fitting to put on a pink tutu and twirl around in a field, right?! As for the location and backdrop, we decided having her Maternity session at Fort Fisher was simply perfect for the look we were aiming for, as it provided the beautiful open space and natural look to compliment the her beautiful glowing belly. Trinity has a sweet and gorgeous little 5 year old boy, and she is beyond thrilled to balance out the family with baby June, due to make her appearance ANY DAY!!!I came across a local woman, Becki Alvaro, owner of Happy Ballerina, and she makes custom Tulle skirts for adults and children. I had a vision immediately of my beautiful friend, Trinity, wearing this skirt, with the beautiful sun pouring in behind her, and capturing her glowing baby belly. We dusted off the medium format film camera for the first few, and then switched back to digital so I could go a little crazy and also KNOW I got exactly what I wanted. As always, waiting for the film to return from the lab was exciting, and getting the scans back made my heart skip a beat.I hope you enjoy scrolling through these photos, and if you are considering having maternity photos taken, please JUST DO IT!!! I promise no one ever said ” I really regret capturing that special time.” 😉
