Stephanie and Andrew’s USS Battleship North Carolina Wedding was beautiful, filled with personal touches, and it was nothing short of exciting. We started the day with a first look for the couple so we could take relaxed portraits on the riverwalk in downtown Wilmington NC. Stephanie chose to get ready at The Hilton Riverside, so it was a beautiful and convenient place for portraits. After some time on the riverwalk we headed over to the Cotton Exchange for a different backdrop. We were blessed with beautiful weather and light… for a while anyway. The ceremony on the Battleship was the perfect backdrop for this couple both active in the Marines. Just as we were finishing up portraits, the rain started, and it came on fast. This was a reminder to me that we can’t control nature, and you have to make the most of it. It also showed me how incredible Stephanie and Andrew’s friends and family are, as they all pulled together to clean up after the rain cleared so the couple could still enjoy their reception. This wedding was not lacking personality, that’s for sure, and I loved every minute of it!
