Brenda and Steve’s Cape Fear engagement session completely filled my cup! We explored the Southend of Pleasure Island near Fort Fisher, something I have wanted to do for two years! I first drove out on this very peaceful beach two years ago for my own anniversary. My husband and I kayaked with literally not a soul in site. It was completely magical, and I have wanted to go back out there with a client every since!
When Brenda said they recently got a jeep and wanted to take it out on the beach, I didn’t even have to consider it. When they agreed to the south end, I was absolutely giddy! Wilmington NC isn’t a very big city, so we have a tendency to photograph in the same places. I can always be inspired, no matter where I am, but there is something really special about exploring a new place and being inspired for the very first time! There is truly nothing like it. Add in their sweet pup, and beautiful weather, and I was basically in photographer heaven. I didn’t plan on putting this blog together today, as we were literally just shooting this past Friday, but I simply couldn’t wait. I fell in love with these photos one by one and couldn’t wait to share!
