As many of you know, I have recently been introduced to the love of my life, my son, Jackson Edward Linquist 🙂 He is 7.5 weeks old now and I can honestly say these have been the happiest 7.5 weeks of my life… especially since he started sleeping 6 hours straight at night 😉
What some of you may not know is that I had an all natural water birth that took place in my home with CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife), Olivia Marshburn. I watched the film, The Business of Being Born at the start of my pregnancy, and I knew I wanted to have a home birth. It was the most powerful thing I have ever done, and I am so grateful to have had the education and encouragement to really Experience my sons birth! Hearing the words “Reach down and grab your baby, Susie” will be words I remember forever with love and gratitude. I will never forget the moment I pulled my son out of the water and onto my chest.
This was the most magical time in my life and I am so very blessed that my mom was there to photograph these very special moments. I am now a huge supporter of natural birth and capturing the love and strength that every mother has!
I have decided to start offering Birth Photography, and I am so excited about this new endeavor!!! I have always loved working with pregnant women on their maternity photos, and now we can truly come full circle.
