Elizabeth + Tim’s wedding day started out rainy, but like most days in Wilmington NC, the rain didn’t stick around all day. We of course were armed with big umbrellas to ensure we could still get gorgeous photos in the rain, but luckily didn’t end up needing them! I have learned to always be prepared for a Saint Thomas Preservation hall downtown Wilmington Wedding, or any wilmington wedding for that matter.

As I walked into Graystone Inn for the portraits, I already knew there would be so much beauty and excitement to photograph. This is actually my favorite part of the wedding day! We walked into the bridal suite and saw beautiful blush bridesmaids gowns, hair + making wrapping up, and a very excited bride to be. We spent some time documenting the excitement with the girls before heading over to the Wilmingtonian to get some candids of the guys, which is always fun!

This was one of those wedding days that makes my heart sing because literally everything was falling into place. We are always ready for a change in plans, because lets face it, no wedding is perfect. I have to admit though, this day was pretty flawless. The ceremony at Saint Thomas Preservation Hall was gorgeous with a perfect mix of laughter and happy tears, my absolutely favorite to document!!! There were so many images that I LOVE from this wedding, so I’m splitting the blog up in two posts.
