This Oak Island Bridal Portrait Session took place a few weeks ago, and I have been dying to share!!! I of course had to wait until the wedding, which was this past weekend ( teasers from that coming soon)! Jen has been a blast to work with since day one. She is relaxed, carefree, beautiful, and happy. That basically sums up my favorite kind of bride 🙂 Jen chose to have her portraits done at her parent’s beach house on Oak Island. The wedding took place at the Southport Community Building this past Saturday, and since we didn’t have time to take beach photos, this was the perfect backdrop for her portraits. I love that when she looks back on her portraits in years to come, the memories of her childhood beach vacation home will be a part of it. Nothing replaces a beautiful backdrop, but when you can tie in a sentimental value to it, it’s that much sweeter.
I remember walking away from this shoot feeling very grateful for my job and my clients. I really do get THE BEST brides. We were able to get so many gorgeous portraits, hugely because of Jen staying relaxed and trusting me to do my job!!! The best part of the day was when she told me she wanted to head down by the water. This rarely happens on a bridal session, so to say that I was excited, was an understatement. I am in love with the light in these photos, and her playfulness. This is how you should feel as a bride; excited and happy!!!
Jen and Kevin’s wedding was just as awesome as her bridal shoot, and I can’t wait to finish editing those as well. For now, here are some of my beautiful bride!!
