My Week ended with a pleasant surprise, and I just have to share this with you! I got home last night and their was a present waiting for me on facebook. If you remember a while back I wrote about my sister-in-law, Annabel, and how she has recently discovered her love and talent in making music. Well, she has started a new thing called “Lo Fi Love Songs by Gretel Prinn.” Here’s the scoop with these songs.

Lo Fi Love Songs by Gretel Prinn was created in 2008 when artist Annabel Linquist was brainstorming ways to support the United Nations World food Programme (WFP). Annabel came up with a plan to take advantage of the current social networking tools that make it easy to promote and send music on line. Linquist decided to take orders to create custom love songs that can be easily posted to Facebook (with iLike application)or download as mp3s.

Each song costs 12 dollars and one dollar of each song will go to WFP’s School Feeding program, which feeds and educates the world’s 400 million hungry children. Linquist intends to keep these songs ‘crappy and fun,’ giving herself only 10-15 minutes to create (write and record) each song so that they stay true to the lighthearted (and ridiculously unproduced) concept of the project.)

Look for the one titled “I heart Susie Linquist.” This was gifted to me by my brother-in-law, friend and business partner of Elite Hawaii Weddings, Zach.

Zach: Thanks for the shout out! This song is my new magic pill for happiness. I am sure I will be playing this randomly to take the seriousness out of my life. Love you!

Annabel: You are a freaking Genius, and I love you! xoxo
