My return home from Sundance has been bitter sweet. I enjoyed every minute of this trip, but was also anxious to return home with the insane amount of inspiration I gathered. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to experience this amazing festival!

The Bus Stop!!! Spent a lot of time here. Luckily shuttling is free all around town. The films were spread out so you had to time things very carefully to make it on time! You never knew if your bus ride was going to take 15 mins or 45.

My Absolute Favorite Shot! I was walking home from an afternoon downtown when I saw this deer! There were actually about 8 of them! I was in awe. I ran home and grabbed my telephoto lens. Isn’t it beautiful!!
Now for the fun stuff….
All weekend I was wondering what celebs I was going to see walking around town. Not only was this trip for seeing films, but I was hoping to do a bit of networking, as well. If I could just make a connection with one celeb…it could snowball….pun intended 🙂
So, the entire weekend has gone by and the only person I saw was Akon. That didn’t even count because he was on stage performing 🙂 So, Sunday morning comes around and it is time for me to get ready to leave. I woke up early so I could go downtown one more time and purchase a few t-shirts for Jeremy and me. As soon as I get downtown, they started popping out of the woodwork. Yes, actors coming out of everywhere!
First I saw Colin Firth ( Bridget Jones, Love Actually)
Jason Ritter ( Raise Your Voice, Good Dick)
Anthony Michael Hall ( The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles )
Tim Daly ( Private Practice )
I saw all of these actors within the five minute walk to the bus station!!!!
Those of you who know me, know that I am one to pay attention to things happening around me. I took these sightings as a sign 🙂 I said if I see one more Celeb before I leave town I will give them my card. Well after Tim Daly, that was it. …. So I thought!!!
I returned back to the condo and waited outside for my bus to the airport. When it finally arrived 30 mins late I got in to notice there were only two other passengers. I asked the guy in front of me who the woman was sitting in the front seat, because I knew she looked familiar!!! He didn’t know, so we asked. Her name is Jane Lynch….sound familiar?? She was hilarious in 40 yr old Virgin and Best in Show, among other things. She was a great person to meet! Very laid back, and so nice!!! I knew if I didn’t take some action I would regret it. So, when we arrived at the airport, just before getting out of the car, I asked her if I could give her my card. She gladly accepted asking if I do head shots. I was beyond thrilled. Now, I am just crossing my fingers that she calls…or passes my card on to her colleagues!
