Boudoir is for EVERY BODY, and things are about to get real in here as I explain why!
I hear women of all ages and body shapes say things to me like “I want to do a boudoir shoot, but I don’t have a flat tummy, big chest, round booty, thin legs, OR, my boobs are saggy, I have cellulite” the list goes on. ” I hear this time and time again. Truth? Most of my clients are moms who nursed babies and are left with a saggy and smaller chest, and softer tummies. Yes, I also get clients in here that work on their fitness a lot and have really toned bodies… but not ALL of my clients are like these women, in fact most of them aren’t. What are you seeing on my website? Both! I post photos of all body types. The thing is, all of the women look like they have a “perfect body” and I’m about to tell you why…
Here is why you don’t see the round tummy’s, saggy boobs, and flat booties on my website; I specialize in complimenting every body shape with flattering poses. I am by no means saying that your body is not beautiful if it is softer or rounder than it used to be. In fact I am saying the opposite. I’m saying all those excuses you use to say you aren’t beautiful, well you need to let them go. You are beautiful now, exactly as you are. Whether you are toned or soft, thick or thin, saggy or perky.
I have been photographing boudoir style shoots since 2009. I have literally worked with every body type and shape you can imagine. My greatest strength is knowing how to show off the beautiful parts of your body that you are proud of, and hiding the stuff you aren’t. I know what some of you are thinking… “I don’t love any part of my body.” Unfortunately, I hear that way more than you would think. It is astounding how many women out there do not appreciate their bodies. My job is to take that perspective that you have when you walk in my studio door, and completely flip it. I would say I am 95% successful in doing this. So much of how we feel about our bodies is false. Bad lighting, unflattering mirrors, or the absolute worst…. Comparing ourselves to what we see in the media. Trust me, I work hard for a fit body. I eat right, I work out a lot, but when I walk into Victoria’s Secret dressing room, I want to run away as fast as I can. I have to remind myself daily that those mirrors are not real. It’s all perspective, angles, and flattering lighting. If we could only see ourselves the way the world sees us. In a matter of one day we go will go from loving our body to hating it, all depending on which mirror we look in!!!! The women that walk into my studio are real women. The women you see on my website, also real women. Every single photo I post is REAL. I do not retouch, with the exception of softening lines, and removing bruises. I NEVER change the shape of a body. I do however use all of the knowledge I have gained over the last 8 years, to flatter you with beautiful light, dress you in the most flattering clothes, and pose you in the most flattering poses possible for YOUR BODY.
I understand that some of you think Boudoir is not for you, and that’s fine. But for those of you that think it’s not for you because your body isn’t perfect, or because you need to lose 10 lbs, lift your booty, tighten your abs., well let me show you otherwise. I can promise that you will never be happier to say you were so very wrong.
I absolutely live for the moment when I watch my clients see their photos on the screen just hours after their shoot. “Is that me?” is what I hear 9 out of 10 times.
